Ingredients
For the Creme Brulee Base:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Bubble Tea Pearls:
- 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
- Water for boiling
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare the Creme Brulee Base: In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until it simmers. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually pour the hot cream into the yolks, whisking constantly. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened. Stir in the vanilla extract. Chill the mixture.
- Cook the Bubble Tea Pearls: Cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions. Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. Chill the pearls.
- Assemble the Drink: In a glass, add the chilled creme brulee base. Top with ice cubes and the cooked bubble tea pearls. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness of the drink by adding more or less sugar to the creme brulee base and pearls.
- For a stronger vanilla flavor, you can scrape a vanilla bean pod into the creme brulee base.
