Description
Creamy Ranch Chicken is a comforting and flavorful main dish featuring tender boneless chicken breasts simmered in a rich, creamy ranch-seasoned sauce. This easy skillet meal is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner and pairs wonderfully with rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
Chicken and Seasoning
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat Oil: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Cook Chicken: Season the 2 boneless chicken breasts with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, then place in the hot skillet. Cook each side for 5–6 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Deglaze and Add Broth: Pour in 1/2 cup chicken broth, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet for added flavor.
- Add Seasonings and Dairy: Stir in 1 packet ranch seasoning mix, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Simmer with Chicken: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let everything simmer together for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped parsley over the top, then serve the creamy ranch chicken warm alongside your choice of sides like rice, pasta, or vegetables.
Notes
- Add broccoli or spinach to the skillet along with the sauce for extra vegetables and color.
- Serve this dish over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice to soak up the creamy ranch sauce.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
