Description

Creamy Garlic Beef is a savory, rich dish made with tender beef simmered in a velvety garlic sauce. This easy-to-make recipe combines the flavors of garlic, cream, and herbs to create a comforting meal perfect for any occasion. Serve it over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice for a satisfying, indulgent dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin, flank steak, or stew meat)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for a dairy-free option)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for added depth)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh thyme, if preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef: Slice the beef into thin strips or bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches for 3-4 minutes until cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the creamy garlic sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add cream, beef broth, Dijon mustard (if using), and thyme. Simmer for 5-7 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  4. Add cheese and butter: Stir in the butter and Parmesan cheese (if using), then continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  5. Combine the beef and sauce: Add the cooked beef back to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until heated through and tender.
  6. Serve: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the sauce.
  • This dish can be made with various cuts of beef, including stew meat or ground beef for different textures.
