Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts served with buttery, garlic-infused egg noodles, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley, creating a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • Butter (for creamy noodles)
  • Egg Noodles (soft and smooth)
  • Garlic (adds aromatic depth)
  • Parmesan Cheese (for a salty, savory touch)
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish and freshness)
  • Chicken Broth (for cooking the noodles and infusing flavor)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 7-8 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
  4. When the noodles are almost done, melt another tablespoon of butter in the skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add it back into the skillet with the noodles. Toss to combine, making sure the chicken is coated in the buttery garlic sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the noodles and stir to melt it into the sauce.
  7. Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for a pop of freshness.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, skip the chicken and use vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini for a delicious alternative.
  • If you prefer extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream or cream cheese to the sauce.
  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the garlic butter sauce.
  • This recipe works well with a variety of pastas, so feel free to substitute the egg noodles with fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
