Description
A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts served with buttery, garlic-infused egg noodles, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley, creating a quick and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts (boneless, skinless)
- Butter (for creamy noodles)
- Egg Noodles (soft and smooth)
- Garlic (adds aromatic depth)
- Parmesan Cheese (for a salty, savory touch)
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish and freshness)
- Chicken Broth (for cooking the noodles and infusing flavor)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 7-8 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
- When the noodles are almost done, melt another tablespoon of butter in the skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add it back into the skillet with the noodles. Toss to combine, making sure the chicken is coated in the buttery garlic sauce.
- Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the noodles and stir to melt it into the sauce.
- Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for a pop of freshness.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, skip the chicken and use vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini for a delicious alternative.
- If you prefer extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream or cream cheese to the sauce.
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the garlic butter sauce.
- This recipe works well with a variety of pastas, so feel free to substitute the egg noodles with fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
