Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle or rectangle and press edges to seal. Crimp edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or light meal.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a pinch of paprika to the filling.
- Puff pastry can be frozen and baked directly from frozen; just add a few extra minutes to baking time.
- These puffs pair well with a simple green salad or dipping sauce like honey mustard or aioli.
