  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Sauce:

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (plus more for garnish)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the rigatoni according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Brown chicken in olive oil, season, and set aside.
