Description

A comforting and hearty Cheesy Biscuit Beef Bake that combines savory ground beef, gooey cheese, and buttery biscuits, perfect for a family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for flavor and moisture)
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up into crumbles. Add the crushed garlic cloves and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
  3. Add Italian Seasoning: Stir in the Italian seasoning, mixing well. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed.
  4. Prepare the Biscuits: Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Set aside.
  5. Assemble the Bake: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the cooked beef mixture evenly along the bottom. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese over the beef, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Top with Biscuits: Arrange the biscuit quarters on top of the cheese in a single, even layer.
  7. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs or extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For added nutrition, mix in vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or spinach into the beef mixture.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeño to the beef mixture.
  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative to ground beef.
  • For an extra cheesy finish, top the biscuits with more cheese before baking.
