Description

These cheesy, spicy jalapeño poppers are stuffed with a creamy cheese mixture and baked until bubbly and golden. Perfect for game days, parties, or whenever you want a bold appetizer with a kick!


Ingredients

Jalapeño Poppers:

  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded

Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Topping:

  • 6 slices beef, cooked and crumbled


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare jalapeños: Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise, remove seeds and membranes.
  3. Mix cheese filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff jalapeños: Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture and place on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Add topping: Top with crumbled beef if desired.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  7. Serve: Serve warm with ranch or sour cream for dipping.

Notes

  • For less heat, soak jalapeño halves in cold water for 30 minutes before stuffing.
