Description

Caprese Dip with Boursin Cheese is a creamy, savory twist on the classic Caprese salad. Featuring rich, herb-infused Boursin cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, it’s a perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin cheese (Garlic & Herb flavor)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra cheesy goodness)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers, crostini, or fresh veggies (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: In a medium-sized bowl, scoop out the Boursin cheese and break it up using a spoon or fork to soften it.
  2. Mix in the tomatoes and basil: Add the halved cherry tomatoes and chopped fresh basil to the Boursin cheese. Stir gently to combine until the cheese and vegetables are evenly mixed.
  3. Season: Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. If you like, drizzle a small amount of olive oil to enhance the richness.
  4. Optional cheesy topping: If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the top of the dip for extra cheese.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze: Just before serving, drizzle balsamic glaze over the dip for a sweet and tangy finishing touch.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or fresh veggies like cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, or cherry tomatoes.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • If you prefer a different cheese, you can swap Boursin with a soft cream cheese or goat cheese.
  • Chopped Kalamata or green olives can be added for a briny contrast.
  • For an even creamier dip, blend the Boursin cheese with sour cream or Greek yogurt.
