Description

A festive holiday martini featuring a creamy peppermint flavor with crushed candy cane rim. This sweet, smooth cocktail blends vanilla vodka, white crème de cacao, peppermint schnapps, and cream, making it perfect for Christmas celebrations and holiday parties.

Ingredients

For the Cocktail

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz white crème de cacao
  • 1 oz peppermint schnapps
  • 1 oz half-and-half or heavy cream

For Garnish

  • Crushed candy canes (for rim)
  • Optional: mini candy cane for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass: Crush candy canes into small pieces and spread them onto a small plate. Rim the martini glass by dipping the rim into a little cream or simple syrup, then dip the rim into the crushed candy cane pieces to coat evenly.
  2. Mix the cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the vanilla vodka, white crème de cacao, peppermint schnapps, and half-and-half or heavy cream into the shaker.
  3. Shake to chill: Secure the cocktail shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the mixture is thoroughly chilled and well combined.
  4. Serve: Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared martini glass with the candy cane rim.
  5. Garnish and enjoy: Optionally garnish with a mini candy cane on the rim or inside the glass, then serve immediately for a festive treat.

Notes

  • Lighter version: Substitute the cream with unsweetened almond milk for a lower-fat alternative.
  • Extra festive: Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the martini glass before pouring the cocktail for added flavor and decoration.
  • Make it pink: Add a drop of red food coloring to the shaker before shaking for a holiday pink hue.
