Description

Sticky, sweet, smoky, and perfectly caramelized, these Bourbon Maple Glazed Chicken Wings make a show-stopping appetizer or a game-day favorite that’s easy to prepare and impressively flavorful.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry and season them evenly with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika to build a flavorful base.
  2. Bake the Wings: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the wings on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure even cooking and a crispy texture.
  3. Prepare the Bourbon Maple Glaze: While the wings bake, combine bourbon, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes until the glaze slightly thickens and the flavors meld.
  4. Glaze and Finish Baking: Toss the baked wings in the hot glaze to coat them thoroughly. Return the wings to the baking sheet and bake an additional 10 minutes. For extra caramelization, broil the wings for 2-3 minutes until the glaze is sticky and golden.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle fresh herbs or sesame seeds over the glazed wings before serving for added flavor and presentation. Serve hot as an irresistible appetizer or party snack.

Notes

  • Add sriracha to the glaze to give the wings a spicy kick.
  • For a quicker option, cook the wings in an air fryer at 375°F for 20–25 minutes.
  • The bourbon maple glaze also works wonderfully on grilled chicken wings.
