Description
Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender beef and pasta in a creamy, garlicky Parmesan sauce. It’s a comforting, quick, and satisfying meal perfect for any night.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or beef strips for a different texture)
- 12 oz rotini pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for a bit of heat
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the Parmesan: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to simmer for 3–5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine the Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb some of the sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- You can swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- If you like your dish spicier, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the beef while cooking.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream or a non-dairy substitute like coconut milk.
- Feel free to add vegetables like mushrooms, spinach, or broccoli for extra flavor and nutrients.
