Description

This Blueberry Tea Lemonade is a vibrant, refreshing beverage that combines the sweetness of blueberries with the tangy zing of lemonade and the crispness of iced tea. A perfect drink for hot summer days or any occasion that calls for a fruity and cooling refreshment.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 cups brewed black or green tea (cooled)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
  • 1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries, honey (or sugar), and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries release their juice and the mixture thickens slightly (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids. Set the blueberry syrup aside to cool.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with 2 cups of cold water. Stir well to mix.
  3. Add the cooled tea and blueberry syrup to the pitcher with the lemonade. Stir to combine and taste for sweetness. Add more honey or sugar if desired.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Blueberry Tea Lemonade over the ice. Garnish with extra fresh blueberries and a sprig of mint for added freshness.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Blueberry Tea Lemonade!

Notes

  • If you prefer a fizzy version, swap the cold water for sparkling water or club soda.
  • For a sugar-free version, replace honey with a sweetener like stevia or monk fruit.
  • Frozen blueberries can also be used instead of fresh ones, which will help cool the drink faster.
  • If you want a citrusy twist, add a splash of lime juice to the drink.
  • For a caffeine-free version, use herbal tea like chamomile or hibiscus.
