Description

Blackberry Mimosas are a vibrant twist on the classic brunch cocktail, combining the sweet-tart flavor of blackberries with bubbly champagne for a refreshing and festive drink. Perfect for special occasions, holiday brunches, or just adding a little sparkle to your day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blackberries (or thawed frozen blackberries)
  • 12 tbsp simple syrup or honey (optional, to taste)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Extra blackberries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small blender or food processor, blend the blackberries until smooth.
  2. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds and pulp. You should have about ¼ cup of blackberry juice.
  3. Pour about 1 tablespoon of the blackberry juice into each champagne flute.
  4. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add simple syrup or honey to taste. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Top off with champagne or sparkling wine and garnish with whole blackberries and a sprig of mint.

Notes

  • For a mixed berry version, try adding raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries.
  • Add a splash of orange juice for a traditional mimosa flavor with a blackberry twist.
  • Use frozen blackberries for a chilled, slushy variation.
  • For a floral note, try adding elderflower or lavender syrup to the drink.
