Description
This beef stir-fry with colorful veggies is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish packed with tender beef strips and vibrant vegetables tossed in a savory sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the beef strips with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Add garlic, ginger, and onion, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and water. Toss everything together and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through and well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
