Ingredients
Steak
- 4 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or strip)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Creamy Garlic Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup beef broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional Garnish
- Fresh parsley
- Extra Parmesan
Instructions
- Season the Steaks: Pat steaks dry and season evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to enhance flavor.
- Heat the Skillet: Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil, allowing it to heat until shimmering.
- Sear the Steaks: Add the steaks to the hot skillet and sear for 3–5 minutes per side, achieving a golden-brown crust and desired doneness.
- Rest the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the skillet and tent loosely with foil to keep warm and retain juices.
- Make the Garlic Sauce: Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet and melt.
- Sauté Garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, careful not to burn.
- Add Broth: Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly and intensify flavor.
- Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream and bring mixture to a gentle simmer, creating a creamy base.
- Incorporate Cheese & Herbs: Mix in grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme or Italian seasoning, stirring well.
- Simmer to Thicken: Let the sauce simmer 3–5 minutes until it thickens to a velvety consistency.
- Season the Sauce: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
- Serve: Return steaks to the skillet and spoon the creamy garlic sauce generously over the top.
- Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan, then serve immediately while hot.
