Description
Bang Bang Salmon is a flavorful, crispy salmon dish topped with a creamy, spicy sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season them with salt and pepper.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 3 minutes, until the skin is crispy. Flip the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer the salmon fillets to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is fully cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is baking, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil in a bowl. Adjust the level of spice by adding more sriracha, if desired.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and drizzle the Bang Bang sauce generously over the top.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds for a finishing touch.
- Serve immediately with steamed rice or vegetables of your choice.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more sriracha or red pepper flakes.
- Use gluten-free mayonnaise and sauces if following a gluten-free diet.
- Air fry the salmon at 375°F for 10-12 minutes for a quicker and crispier result.
- The Bang Bang sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- If using frozen salmon, be sure to thaw it completely before cooking.
